Our Club Received Its Charter On June 6th 1986, As The Rotary Club Of Bombay North Island In District 3140, Under The Leadership Of Charter President Dr. J. T. Vyas, Along With Generous Support From Some Members Of The Rotary Club Of Bombay West, Embarking On A Mission Of Selfless Service. In The Early 2000s During The Transition, Our Club Was Rechristened To “Rotary Club Of Mumbai North Island”, Symbolizing Our Commitment To Service. Our Club Was Officially Relocated To District 3141 In July 2016. The Enduring Legacy Of This Remarkable Club Stands As A Testament To The Unwavering Dedication Of Our Charter Members, With Some Of Them Still Continuing Their Commitment To This Noble Mission In The Club Till Date. Also To Mention That The Individual Presidents Who Took Charge Year On Year, Played A Vital Role In Leading The Club Through Its Journey. With A History Spanning Over 38 Years, RCMNI Is More Than Just A Club Now. It Is A Testament To The Steadfast Commitment Of Its Members To Rotary’s Core Values & The Noble Mission It Represents.
As A Prestigious Club Within The Rotary International Network, RCMNI Has Carved A Niche For Itself, Both Locally & Globally. Its Illustrious History Is Marked By An Unbroken Series Of Projects That Reflect The Ethos Of Rotary International. These Projects Span A Diverse Range Of Activities, Each Aimed At Making A Positive Impact On The Society.
Every Year, RCMNI Embarks On A Journey To Enhance Society’s Well-being. This Journey Includes The Construction Of Schools In Rural Areas, Where Education Becomes A Beacon Of Hope For Countless Children. The Club Has Also Contributed To The Establishment Of Dialysis Units, Bringing Critical Healthcare Services To Those In Need. Health Check-up Initiatives Ensure The Physical Well-being Of The Community, While Setting Up Libraries In Police Stations Promotes Literacy & Learning. Recognizing The Dedication & Exceptional Service Of The Police Force, RCMNI Has Consistently Awarded Them For Vocational Excellence. In A Pioneering Move, The Club Initiated The Establishment Of The First-Ever Internet Of Things (IOT) Centre At School Level, Providing Students With A Platform To Explore Cutting-Edge Technologies.
Additionally, RCMNI’s Commitment To Education Is Evident Through The Annual Rajendra Chhapwale Awards, Which Recognize & Honour Teachers On An All-India Level, Highlighting Their Invaluable Contributions To Our Society. In A Move To Address Sanitation Issues, The Club Has Been Actively Involved In The Construction Of Toilet Blocks In Schools & Installations Of Sulabh Sauchalaya In Various Areas, Ensuring Access To Hygienic Facilities.

Our Club Further Extended Its Influence By Serving As The Sponsoring Entity For The Establishment Of The Rotary Club Of Mumbai GenX, Which Received Its Charter In April 2017.
