Our Club Received Its Charter On 6th June 1986 As The Rotary Club Of Bombay North Island In District 3140, Under The Dynamic Leadership Of Charter President Dr. J. T. Vyas Ji, Along With The Valuable Support & Encouragement Of Several Members From Rotary Club Of Bombay West. Thus Began A Remarkable Journey Founded Upon The Principles Of Selfless Service, Fellowship & Rotary Ideals. During The Early 2000s, Amidst The Changing Identity Of Our City, The Club Was Rechristened As The “Rotary Club Of Mumbai North Island,” Symbolising Its Renewed Commitment Towards Service & Community Development. Subsequently, In July 2016, The Club Officially Became A Part Of District 3141. The Enduring Legacy Of This Remarkable Institution Stands As A Testament To The Unwavering Dedication, Vision & Perseverance Of Its Charter Members, Several Of Whom Continue To Serve The Club Even Today With The Same Spirit & Passion. Equally Important Has Been The Contribution Of Every Individual President Who Assumed Leadership Year After Year, Guiding The Club Through Different Phases Of Growth, Transformation & Achievement. With A Proud Heritage Spanning Over Four Decades, RCMNI Today Is Far More Than Merely A Rotary Club - It Is A Living Symbol Of Rotary’s Core Values, Ethical Standards, Humanitarian Vision & The Noble Mission Of “Service Above Self.”

Simultaneously, It Has Contributed Towards The Establishment Of Dialysis Units, Extending Critical Healthcare Services To Those In Need. The Club Has Consistently Organised Health Check-Up Initiatives To Promote The Physical Well-Being Of Communities, While Its Efforts In Setting Up Libraries Within Police Stations Have Encouraged Literacy, Learning & Knowledge Enhancement Among Police Personnel. Recognising The Exceptional Commitment & Dedicated Service Of The Police Force, RCMNI Has Also Regularly Honoured Officers For Vocational Excellence. Demonstrating Its Forward-Thinking Vision Towards Technology & Innovation, The Club Proudly Initiated The First-Ever Internet Of Things (IoT) Centre At School Level, Offering Young Students An Opportunity To Explore Emerging Technologies & Develop Future-Ready Skills.
RCMNI Has Also Made Significant Contributions On The Vocational Service Front By Conducting Vocational Guidance & Skill Development Activities For Students Across Various Streams. Through Practical Exposure, Mentorship & Career-Oriented Learning Initiatives, The Club Has Helped Shape Young Minds, Many Of Whom Have Successfully Built Their Careers In Their Respective Professional Fields.
